This is my 16th year in Education. Prior to moving to Hondo, I resided in San Antonio for 25 years. While my stay in San Antonio, I was employed for Northeast ISD as a Family Specialist for 9 years and a Bilingual Elementary Teacher for 4 years. Before becoming an Educator, I worked for both USAA and Frost National Bank. During my younger years I worked and managed a McDonald's in Austin and in Eagle Pass, TX. Teaching is my fourth career.

I am very excited to be here at Meyer Elementary and being part of this community!

During my free time, I like to stay home with my family and enjoy the easy and calm country living.

I was raised in Eagle Pass, TX and graduated from Eagle Pass High School. My family are Educators (Father, aunt and cousins); therefore I was destined to become a teacher. My father was a special education and bilingual teacher. My aunt was a paraprofessional for many years and even now at her young age of 82 she still volunteers her time to help students. I hope to continue the family tradition and make a difference in children's lives.

This will be my 16th year in education! I am super excited being part of HISD. There is so much to learn! Can't wait to get this year started!!
